I am a 7th grade English teacher for Kanawha County Schools. After this year, I can honestly say that I have experienced teaching all middle school grade levels.
I have been married for seven years and I have two children. I love to write, read, watch movies, and I probably have one of the most eclectic tastes in music you will ever see.
It’s dark, and I’m wearing sunglasses.

Can you explain Gretchen Bernabei’s activity called “Ba-da-bing” for writing exciting leads? I’ve looked everywhere and cannot find it. I teach 3rd grade, btw. Thanks

Hope this message gets to you, Literacygirl. Gretchen has a website that is sometimes active, sometimes not. I found this brochure about ba-da-bing sentences there: http://trailofbreadcrumbs.net/files/ba-da-bingworkshopbrochure.pdf
This should help.

Mr. Lilly I do say you should move up to high school… and not just teach nightschool. We could use a few more decent teachers! XD And this blog site is pretty neat. Im making one! tehehe
